Currently living in Spanish Fort, Alabama, I was born and raised in Westerly, Rhode Island - a small town near the Atlantic
Ocean beaches of Misquamicut and Watch Hill. I was introduced to the arts at an early age with drawing, dance classes, piano
lessons, community chorus and church choir. It was during the yearly choir and chorus summer camp in the White Mountains
of New Hampshire where my interest in nature and visual arts first took hold. The setting of cabins surrounded by pine trees
and a beautiful lake holds wonderful memories of friends, joyful activities and the beauty of nature.
While primarily self-taught, I have studied art in many places including Rhode Island School of Design and with several art
teachers in Michigan and Alabama.
